Annie Masciandaro started playing the drums at the age of 9. Studying with Billy Springfield and Paul Capozzoli she built her foundation as a drummer. She started her career as a working drummer/vocalist at the age of 19 in the all girl band "Roxanne". Since then, she has become a much sought after musician throughout the region.
While playing up and down the east coast in all the top venues, she gathered much experience and acclamation. Working as a full time musician she has played with various cover bands such as The Main Attraction, Backtrax, Heat Treatment, Good Girls Don't, Sugarbelly, and Back to the Garden 1969 to name a few. Annie has also played with such artists such as Davy Jones (The Monkees), The Dead Elvi, Ray Parker Jr. (Ghostbusters), Jane Wiedlin (The Go Go's), Bumblefoot (Guns & Roses, Lita Ford), Zacherly (The Monster Mash), AJ Pero (Twisted Sister), Antigone Rising, Steve Brown and PJ Farley (Trixter) to name a few. She has also been in many original music projects playing all the top venues in New York City, such as The Bottom Line, The Mercury Lounge, Kenny's Castaways and The Elbow Room.
Annie is currently working as a full time musician with her own band The Annie Mash Duo/Trio playing nightclubs, weddings, private parties and outdoor festivals. She also does studio work as a drummer and lead vocalist. Her resume includes commercial recording work for radio jingles.
Besides being an accomplished musician, Annie is known for being someone who is very easy to work with and a professional in every sense of the word. Her sparkling personality shines in every performance!
